Sleepbella completed delivery of a custom bedding and towel order for an island accommodation property. The project involved two bed-size groups, separate specifications for their bedding items, and towels with different decoration requirements. It illustrates how a multi-item hospitality order can be organized around the actual beds and products required.
Client and property details are kept confidential. The project offers practical lessons for buyers planning bedding and towels for several room types.
What made the specification more than a standard bedding set?
The accommodation project needed bedding for different beds. The order records listed sheets, duvet inserts, duvet covers, pillows and pillowcases as separate items within the bed groups. Towels were also listed by type, with decoration requirements distinguished from items without a logo.
The practical issue was to keep the right finished textile dimensions associated with the right bed group. A mattress measurement does not automatically specify the dimensions of every item used on that bed.
How were the requirements recorded?
The updated order specification and inspection checklist separated the two bed groups and their related items. They also recorded revised towel quantities. This gave the project a reference for checking which products and quantities belonged to each part of the order.
What was the outcome?
We completed delivery of the bedding and towel order. For another property planning a similar purchase, the useful starting point is a room-by-room bed list linked to the finished dimensions of each linen item.
For a future replacement order, the agreed specifications provide a reference to discuss with the supplier. Material availability, quantities and transport arrangements should be confirmed again for that new order.
What can another property include in its own list?
| Planning item | What to record |
|---|---|
| Bed group | An internal label and the mattress measurements |
| Sheets | Sheet type and requested finished dimensions |
| Inserts and covers | Separate descriptions and dimensions for each |
| Pillows and cases | The pillow size and the required finished case specification |
| Towels | Type, dimensions, material and logo requirements |
| Revisions | Current quantities and the date or version of the agreed list |
For fitted sheets, include mattress depth. For duvet covers, measure the intended insert. For flat sheets, discuss the required drop and tuck rather than relying only on the bed's name. The custom bedding measurement guide explains these distinctions.
What should be confirmed for an island destination?
Supply the actual destination and ask which transport arrangement can be quoted for the order. Confirm the handover point, included services and whether any onward movement needs a separate arrangement. Keep the requested arrival window distinct from the estimated production and transport schedule.
For a new island project, we assess the proposed destination and order before confirming available transport arrangements, costs and timing.
How can you start a similar project?
Prepare a bed-group list, the required items for each group, towel specifications and the destination. Mark uncertain measurements or material descriptions as questions to resolve before order confirmation.
Use our bedding sourcing checklist to add sample, packaging and quotation requirements.
