Custom Embroidered SPA Towels: What One Project Shows Buyers

Custom SPA towels need a specification that covers both the towel and its decoration. In one Sleepbella customer project, the request combined white cotton towels, a high fabric weight and a precisely positioned embroidered logo. Sample and bulk-order documents recorded these details separately, making this a useful example of what buyers should define before ordering.

Client details and commercial terms are omitted for confidentiality. This is an individual custom project, not a standard towel specification for every order.

What did the project require?

The project documents specified towel dimensions, cotton composition, fabric weight, color and logo placement. The embroidery instructions described both the logo's finished size and its position relative to the towel edge.

Those details answer different questions. Towel dimensions describe the usable piece. Fabric weight describes the requested textile specification. Logo dimensions and position describe how the customer's branding should appear. Describing all three simply as a "premium branded towel" would lose information needed for a quotation or sample.

We shipped the bulk order. The sample and bulk-order records provide a practical example of how towel specifications and embroidery instructions can be documented together.

Why should the towel and logo be specified separately?

An embroidered logo needs a finished size and a position, not just an image file. Buyers should provide a placement sketch that identifies the reference edge and intended orientation. If several towel sizes are included, state whether the same logo size is wanted on each one.

The broader lesson from this project is to keep the requested towel specification and the decoration instructions together while describing each clearly. This makes it easier to identify what a sample is intended to represent.

What should another SPA buyer check in a sample?

For your own project, use the sample review to check the following details:

  • Compare the finished towel dimensions with the agreed specification.
  • Review the fabric description and hand feel against the intended use.
  • Check the logo's orientation, placement and finished size.
  • Examine the embroidered area and reverse side for the appearance and feel you require.
  • Confirm the care instructions and any laundering evaluation needed before bulk approval.

A fabric-weight number alone does not establish drying performance, service life or suitability for a particular laundry process. If those are purchasing criteria, agree how they will be assessed for the proposed product.

How can you prepare a similar request?

Send the intended use, towel sizes, material preference, requested weight, quantities and artwork. Include a placement sketch and explain any labeling, packaging or care requirements. Confirm the sample option, quotation and production timing for your own order.
